Alive

I should probably post for those who never check facebook or what not that I am alive....just not drawing like I need to be. MUST.GO.DO.THAT.NOW.

I had such a great time at the melon patch. All of the kids were just wonderful!

Just another small update.

Just a small update....

So, the last two weeks have been kind of hectic for me artwise. I haven't really done anything but sketch and taking advice from various videos and a fellow artist that I've met through the school. But in doing that, my sketches became sloppy, unreadable, unenjoyable for me to do at some point, and just not viewed well by the small following that I DO have. It wasn't until Jonathan actually gave me his honest opinion about where I was going with my new style. I was hellbent on making it work because it worked for all the other artists I've been taking advice from and I wanted to be better.
"You were better before, now it just looks like ameture work..." Ameture. Oh My GOD.
Never in my WHOLE life as an artist was I EVER called that, even through high school. And the only reason why it means something now, because he's right. I shouldn't focus on trying to be like EVERYONE ELSE. I should continue to draw the way that I was comfortable, but still take certain advice to heart. It was Jonathan who actually knows my style, who knows me as an artist, and he gave me somethng back that I probably would have lost forever. So now, I'm back on track with where I want to be, and where I need to be. Thank you Jonathan! It means alot.



Also, I'll be painting faces at our Melon patch on Sunday, and I'm REALLY looking forward to it!

I've been trying to draw and sketch everyday and I've been getting alot of pointers from a new student this semester. I'm starting to hold the pencil differently and think outside of the box, which I'm already starting to see drastic changes.

I hope everyone is having a good week. I'm ready for it to be over.

UGGGHHHHH. I felt so god awful yesterday!! I was throwing up and cramping and....



Oh, well hello all! I'll drop that subject as I have a few MINOR sketches for you!!

They are just really crappy ref. sketches but it's something to show!






I need do some honest to goodness sketches instead of just sloppily throwing something down hoping to come back to it later. Maybe after i get some of this stress off of me and return to feeling 100% then maybe I'll make that pledge.


And for the love of all things mighty, try not to get this bug. It's BAD.

So after finally figuring out how to work this scanner, I can do a small sketch post! I was originally going to bog down this place with everything I've done in the last two weeks, but because of some secrets and surprises for some people, I can't do that, so I'm only posting only what I like.

The above is some lovely Raven bellies and feet, though I'm not sure what iniated me in sketching them, it releived me at work and is cute to stare at. The below is just a scribble.

So, after packing and unpacking and then repacking and THEN getting frustrated, i may just work on the watercolour stuff at home. I never realized how much I actually move about at the school. So, I guess this means no watercolour updates during the week unless I am workiing on something BRILLIANT! Which, well, is hardly ever.


I've seem to be caught in some sort of Arwen, Lord of the Rings kick again. Just like any fan, I've already accumulated a large pile of refrences but hardly EVER use them. SO, I guess maybe they may come out and some sketches will be mades.

I guess I'll bore you with something much less entertaining now.


Made it to the Landsmeet and destroyed Loghaine in Dragon Age: Origins. Much ready to be playing Awakening, but one must be patient witht his sort of thing. I've really enjoyed it so far and I wish I had [ut more time into because I don't know if I'll go through it again considerign I'll have to watch Lynn AND Jonathan play through again. So, who knows.


Thor blessed us with QUITE a storm today though. At first I was worried since the power kept flickering off, bit now, everything seems normal again, so I hope he doesn't plan on continueing his work until I get home. That'd be most kind of him. :D


UGH, I keep getting these messages. I wish I could just unleash my fury on someone without some sort of repercussion. This is the life of a hungry skinny angry person.
